Terafab chip plant set for Grimes County, Texas

On August 6, 2026 SpaceX and Tesla said the Terafab chip plant will be built in Grimes County, Texas, with an initial investment of $16.8 billion. The site is planned at about 100 million square feet and at least 3,000 jobs.
